When writing a message, it would be great to have the ability to preview a rendered version. Zulip for example has a clickable eye symbol which shows the message either in edit form or in rendered form. There, a user can see the outcome as preview of the text written prior sending.

Hi there, thanks for raising the issue! 🚀 💯

FYI, there is a project from the Community to implement a better composer like slack, for e.g.

Sorry, but GitHub is only for issues/bugs related to the repository project. I'm transferring your issue to feature-request repo.

I am looking to work on this feature. There are couple of options to proceed with this:

  1. To have a realtime composer like Slack.
  2. Have a seperate preview option to generate preview like Github.

Let me know the preference here. I will start working on it accordingly. Thanks.

Option 2 would be great.
There you can write and check before sending by a click the rendered outcome - and correct if necessary.

Yes makes sense. I will try to implement this soon.

Although, I just saw this PR open #31731, not sure about the readiness of it. @hugocostadev Can you please confirm if this feature is still open to work?
