Connect to MCAtlas with play.mcatlas.net
. Add this as a server to your Minecraft Multiplayer list.
When you first log on to MCAtlas, you're spawned randomly on a map of the Earth. You can locate where on Earth you are by visiting https://mcatlas.net/map
MCAtlas features Towns and Nations using the popular plugin, Towny. You're encouraged to either join an existing Town or create your own. There is no other way to protect land other than towns.
Make sure to familiarize yourself with the rules! https://mcatlas.net/rules
MCAtlas has a unique economy based on gold ingots. There are no player-based banks or vaults to store them in. The only banks that exist are Town and Nation banks. So keep them in a safe place (like a locked chest).
Say you want to just get started and not worry about running your own Town. Joining an existing Town is a great option and can really help you get started on MCAtlas.
In order to join an existing Town, you must ask around in the community. A Town mayor or assistant has to invite you to their town. Towns are always seeking new players because it allows the Town mayor to expand with more claims.
You've decided you want to create your own town. Great! It will cost you, however.
Creating a town costs 100 gold ingots which you must have in your inventory at the time of creation. To create a town, use the command /t new <townname>
. It will deduct the 100 gold ingots from your inventory automatically.
Make sure to have some extra gold, because it costs 2 gold a day to upkeep your town! Use /t deposit <amount>
to deposit your gold into the town bank to pay for upkeep.
Upkeep is taken each day at on a timer at roughly 1:30 PM EST. If you do not have enough gold ingots in your Town or Nation bank when upkeep is taken, your Town or Nation will fall into ruin.
