Dropdown gets cut when in Popovers

There's no way to trigger a native picker with the current select. Only custom dropdowns are shown.

The main driver for this request is "the custom dropdown is not Mobile first" where the native solutions are often better in terms of usability, But there are other cases where it would be handy to display a native solution, as in this example where the custom dropdown gets cut by a popover:
