Adventurer's Backpack upgrades? [QUESTION]

Modpack Version 4.5.2

when i try to use the Adventurer's Backpack upgrades (specifically the tier 1 "Auto Salvage Commons Upgrade" and "Spiritual Size Upgrade") i cant figure out how to use them on the backpack. the jei has no instructions, and neither does the quest book quests. and ive tried all manner of trying to attach them (like the inventory, an anvil, crafting menus and the minecraft smithing table) i can think of. thanks in advance for the help

You need to use a gear modify station for it from Age of Exile mod. Backpack in the bottom slot and upgrade in the top slot.
