Cannot profile development stores #55
Comments
With the help of @ConduciveMammal , a workaround to this issue is add yourself as a staff to the development store |
Thanks so much for your help! Another little "gotcha" that I stumbled on was to make sure the staff account's email is the same that you use to login to the profiler extension. Seems dumb but hadn't occurred to me that I was using different emails. |
Heya! Commenting late but I guess this issue is resolved. I was able to profile a development store that I created without being a staff. |
@frunkad are you sure? Seems the developers have left this issue open 😄 |
For better visibility and to minimize the number of "duplicate issues" created by people trying the extension, let visitors know ahead about the two known bugs: not being able to profile a development store, and not being able to profile a Storefront Renderer rendered store.

Make sure you go to the normal store web address, not the xxx.myshopify.com. |
The issue is specifically for development stores that doesn't have an owner yet. |
This issue still seems to be happening. Can't use profiler |
@chris-acadia Have you set yourself as a Staff for the development store? |
I'm having the same issue. I'm the store owner and am using the live URL for my site and I can't get access. |
