In 4.2.2, it was mentioned that one of the goals is to see "how well the participants were able to connect the card types [...] to elements of a program expressed in a programming language". While this is a reasonable goal, it should be noted that different languages introduce different constructs, syntax and semantics rules, and visual (code) representations of these constructs and rules that there is no clear baseline with which to attribute improvement or decline in comprehension. A recommendation for this might be to check the connection between the language-independent concepts embodied in the cards with a language-independent but more "programmatic" representations such as pseudocode.
