Hi there, that looks like a nice re-configuration option for the plan, happy that our work has had some value.

As it goes we have also been exploring other routes for managing multi-env deployments, albeit outside of TF plan itself (or plans).
We quite like the idea of abstracting out the TF run levels, for example into a GoCD run/wrapper. It might not be for everyone but for us felt like a nice thing to do and meant we could keep a single (simple?) plan backend.
We haven't investigated fully yet, but it seems like that's also the crux of TF Enterprise/Workspaces.
I see Hashicorp have also released a comprehensive recommended practices guide which pushes into TFE & Workspaces quite extensively.
