Be aware of the purpose of registries and aware of some popular resources:

  • Platforms:

    • CRAN/BioConductor (for R), PyPi, etc?
    • Practical focus on https://bio.tools/ as the "exercise" platform or maybe zenodo?

  • Be aware of common standards/descriptions for software metadata (Bioinformatics, beyond?) and documentation needed for submission to registration
