We drink water and keep our bodies clean to live healthily.
Up to 60% of the body of an adult human is water.
One can make it easy for oneself to use more than one source of water.
The water from each source can have a different composition, a different taste, and different qualities.
This is better than drinking the same water from the same pipes over and over. This is better than hardly having any water around oneself or having water with rather dangerous microorganisms.
We’re used to being rained on. Rain rebalances us and our environment.
Egypt seems the country with the least amount of water precipitated during 2020.
Food
3.1 Water is a source of food.
Many people live close to the ocean, and it’s easy for them to eat fish, seaweed, etc.
3.2 The organisms we eat live on water, so we have used huge quantities of water for agriculture and animal husbandry.
While we may have dreamt of enough “fresh” water (Seawater seems fresh to me: it is moving horizontally and vertically; it is interacting with the atmosphere.) flowing forever where we want it, we might be realising that there is no guarantee that it will always be enough, it is difficult to manage and costly to carry, and it is delicate. We can treat it according to its actual value and keep the costs of water management under control.
3.3 We use a lot of water in kitchens.
Thermal energy
4.1 We adjust with water the temperature of our body, of air, and of some machines.
4.2 We fight fire with water.
Water powers machines.
Water has many industrial applications.
It can e.g. evaporate from some products. In many cases, we try to filter out substances and particles we have added to water.
