I published this message on 8 January 2023. With what word can we describe towns and villages best? Nowadays, there seem to be fewer differences between towns and villages anyway. They also use the words community, settlement, and place.
This has to do with town planning. We can discuss e.g. air quality, water management, land use, design, energy management, Internet access, transportation, waste management, and safety. How much do you want to participate?
Air quality
We can discuss what air quality you want and how it is influenced e.g. by vegetation and factories.
We can discuss what sound environment you want and how to create it e.g. by zoning.
Water management
Some people have complained about pipes leaking cold water and hot water. Sol Water Management can help you improve water supply.
We can reduce the costs of treating waste water e.g. by:
a. helping people to add fewer things to water.
b. helping people to add less of these things to water.
c. researching into superior methods and means to manage water and waste.
Land use
We can help you benefit more from a green infrastructure.
We can help to rewild some areas around a locality and to manage parks. This gives people more comfort and more useful areas for their spare time.
Design
We can redesign parts of a locality or help people to use them more beneficially. Examples: streets, intersections, pavements, bicycle lanes, crossings
Energy management
Sol Energy can build modern plants to provide cleaner energy.
Internet access
What schedule do you want to have? When and where is it more important to connect your computer to the Internet? What connection would serve you best?
It is often useful or comfortable to sit in a room when using a computer. It seems preferable to connect a building to the Internet using cables than over the air.
Where should one lay cables in buildings and across a locality?
You can discuss such things e.g. with Sol Computing.
Transportation
Sol Transportation can improve public transportation and reduce its costs.
Sol teams can build and manage transportation hubs that include:
a. a bus station
It links the buses that carry people between places with vehicles that carry people within your locality.
We can carry people between such stations and the next railway station, airport, or port.
It seems useful to build such stations at the edge of your locality that is closest to the main road and sees the most traffic.
b. a hub (or customs office) for goods
The larger the vehicle, the better it seems for it to not enter localities. They can (un)load cargo in your local hub. Smaller vehicles can carry goods to where they're going to be used.
c. A hub in which they park, charge, clean, and maintain vehicles.
It seems useful to place it at the edge of your industrial park.
Waste management
Sol Transportation can help manage packaging better. They can help (un)pack the goods they carry and manage the packaging materials themselves.
Safety
We can discuss how safe you want to be in your locality, what makes it safe, and what improvements in police, firefighting, and disaster relief services you desire.
Example: How do we help emergency teams move?
To make improvements you want in your locality, you can work with your public servants and specialists in the Sol Global Management group, as well as with a political party.
Building blocks
It seems that people want for their locality:
houses
a network for water management
cropland
a network for transportation
networks for energy management
public buildings
6.1 entertainment venues
their part of the Internet
a green infrastructure
sports fields
schools
industrial estate
waste treatment plants
What else?
