1.1 One might need clothing.
How does one get in touch with Sol Support when one wants to ask e.g. for clothing?
a. They can reach us e.g. here.
b. If they don’t have access to the Internet, you mediate our interactions so that:
we send them clothes.
we help them to use e.g. a smartphone or to connect it to the Internet.
1.2 One might need a shelter.
How do homeless people get to use a housing unit?
It is estimated that 150 million people are homeless; the exact number is probably higher.
In Europe, the number of people sleeping rough or living in temporary accommodation soared by 70% in a decade, according to a recent estimate.
It seems that people sleep outdoors:
a. outside localities
They usually choose to do so and are safe.
b. in town streets
I haven’t heard of people sleeping in village streets, but some people live in vehicles or have poor living conditions in villages. Villagers, especially farmers, are on average poorer than towners. The higher the possible reward, the higher the costs people seem willing to incur.
I’m willing to make efforts to help people sleep. When you know someone who wants better sleep, e.g. because they’re not sleeping in a house, let me know! We’ll see what we can do.
Owners of empty houses can register them with us, whether they would like us to maintain these houses or to find people whom they would allow to live in these houses, e.g. homeless people.
2. Healthcare
Homelessness is closely connected to declines in physical and mental health. We can:
provide some Sol Healthcare services under improved financial terms.
agree with you to finance some healthcare services under terms you like.
To make it even more probable that one can get the healthcare one needs, one can pay for health insurance.
To be able to pay for anything, one can ask us about a job.
3. Water
We can work with public teams and private teams to make drinking water available to people with no or hardly any access to it.
Anybody can ask us to make available a public bath in a certain locality.
4. Food
We welcome anybody into Sol kitchens. We’ll agree on how we’re repaid so that these kitchens keep working for many years.
5. Company
It’s natural for people to spend time together. We can build online and offline groups, so that it becomes easier for anyone to find with whom to discuss what’s on their mind.
One can use e.g. the services of Sol Personal Relationships.
6. Energy
One way to help someone go through a winter during which they find it difficult to afford thermal energy is that you offer them some money. We can help you agree on the terms, e.g. you want this money back or not.
7. Financial services
7.1 We can donate money when we have some proof that one needs it badly.
I understand the pain one feels when one feels mistrusted. One doesn’t mistrust the person who needs help: one avoids scams. Some people have been telling untrue stories before asking for money. Unfortunately, other people have given them money without actually knowing the asker’s situation or to whom the asker was going to give that money. We prefer to make some payments on behalf of the person who needs a certain service.
7.2 Sol Financial Services can lend money at a low interest. The shorter the period, the closer we could get to 0%.
In general, creditors don’t like doing this. The riskier it is to lend some money, the higher the interest. We’re willing to take some risks when someone goes through a rough patch.
7.3 One can use Sol Financial Services to donate or lend money.
Anybody could afford Sol services when one agrees to pay a percentage of one’s current capital.
It is very difficult when someone has nothing, and they’ve lost their ability to work. If one owns nothing and has no money, but one can work, we can trade services.
If one owns something and has no money, they could use their property so that they can trade. Example: They sell or rent their property, which helps them buy something.
When one has USD 100 and they’d pay 10% for a Sol service, we’d charge them USD 10 for a service that is usually more expensive. This can help them stay afloat to earn more.
