My axial map layer doesn't appear listed in the axial map drop down menu

The layers used by the SST must be in a projected coordinate system (with x and y coordinates) and not in a geographic coordinate system (with degrees). The default coordinate system (CRS) in QGIS is WGS84, which is a geographic coordinate system. It's likely that the axial map layer was created using this CRS, or you received a file in another geographic CRS. In that case you need to transform this to a new layer in a local projected CRS. Choose 'Save as...' in the 'Layer' menu, and once there indicate the desired CRS. For more information on CRS and CRS transformations please refer to the QGIS documentation.
