Currently, the workflow in snakemake about this step is to create a "{method}_requirement.info" file in the same folder.

It will end up scamming the folder every time you run the snakemake workflow from scratch. Check the code here.

Is there any other way to execute this additional steps without jamming the folder?

Please use branch workflow_update for the modification.
