I don't understand Python (and use GUIs like this specifically to avoid having to deal with any sort of programming or command-line interaction). Is there/can anyone provide simply a quick string that I can copy and paste into the 'Custom' filename option? I see there's a playlist_index option so it seems like it should be possible. It'd be pretty helpful in keeping certain playlists in order where the video names don't work for that.

Okay, looking around it looks like playlist_index is bugged anyway? Cannot figure out if this issue was ever fixed or not.

Supposedly it is fixed, feel free to confirm this.

you can refer to this list for examples:

https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp?tab=readme-ov-file#output-template-examples

But I also struggle with this everything. My dream here is that there is an interactive preview of this, whenever you change the template it should show the resulting string for you. It’s on my todo for v3
