Custom parameters question

Hi
I have a Solis hybrid inverter
looking on the inverter it has 3 slots for charge/discharge times
The integration and the Modbus documentation only lists 1 charge and one discharge slot.

To add the additional slots can I modify the solis_hybrid.yaml, or should I be creating the custom_parameters.yaml
If its the latter Do I just add entries for the holding registers that are not already in the Solis_hybid.yaml or do i need to copy the solis_hybrid.yaml and modify it?

On a related note is there a service in the integration that can query individual registers before adding them to the yaml like there is for writing them?

Appologies I missred this line in the documentation and didnt entierly take in the part in bold.

NOTE: In order to leave your customized file intact during upgrades, copy the most relevant yaml file to a file called "custom_parameters.yaml, and set the "lookup_file" option in configuration.yaml to point to it.
