Description of what I can/will do as I sent to @toddmurphy:
I found a way to "listen" for wifi connectivity connection events. What that means is all they have to do is open the app and if there is wifi it will sync. If there is not, it will sync whenever you connect to wifi (but you have to have the app open, because Apple will shut down your app to save power in the background).
Basically, the only requirement is have our app open and iPad not in sleep mode (locked and closed, etc).
So from a onboarding standpoint ( @babylemonade ) the iOS will require very little however they will need to remember to open the Streamlyne iOS app when the return to the control room and connect to WiFi, to start the syncing.
