Describe the bug
Searching for -campus or +campus by itself results in a silent failures.

This appears to happen on the default (LUCENE) parser.

Was expecting one of:

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to a SAGE discovery view using the default/LUCENE parser (or create one).
  2. Choose a single word from a result title.
  3. Select the title search filter.
  4. Add the chosen word with either a + or a - in front of it with no spaces (such as+campus).
  5. Click search.
  6. Observe 0 results.
  7. See service console log for error.

Expected behavior
We should either error out that the search is not supported or we should properly sanitize and handle it. An alternative and perhaps ideal solution is to behind the scene change the query so it works with a single word with and without the + or -. This would be a bigger change.
