Just in case anyone has the same issue: The extension did not work for me with Inkscape v0.92 which, although 3 years old, is the default version in the Ubuntu 20.04 repositories. After installing Inkscape 1.0.1 from the official PPA, everything works fine. Thanks for making this very useful extension!
