Definitely excited about the refactor work! It's wonderful having a dev that's so willing to listen to people's ideas, and consider them, it truely makes a difference. |

Really glad to hear that your job situation seems to be resolved and that the app will get some love. I love this app, it's one of my most used apps on my Android devices. |

Hello community!
It has been quite a long time since I really published some descent updates to the app. There have been many feature requests about the app, and honestly, I really read all of them. Thank you everyone for the interest! Somehow it was interesting that the project I started just because I didn't want to pay subscriptions for any of the LLM service that I use became this big.
When I received multiple feature requests that I totally did not expect, it was at that moment I knew I designed the app wrong. What I thought that the app is expandable for features... was not really expandable at all. What I needed after that was a complete redesign, refactor of the app.
Well, I wasn't really ready for that. I had the feelings to try it, but I also had to search for jobs and prepare for the interview. Last year, I was having quite a hard time getting a job after graduation. I even postponed my graduation for 2 years just to study more and achieve more skills that I can appeal. I was really in a pressure. After all that, I was out of motivation and only pushed minor updates. I hoped someone would contribute to the app that is directly related to feature request, but that didn't happen (except one) I mean, it's an open source project. So I can expect someone to contribute to the app, right? 🥺
Now, I have some time in life. I can breathe now. I decided to revamp my motivation. There are so many model updates happening these days. (Especially related to DeepSeek) The introduction was a bit long right? I started to work on the total refactoring of the GPTMobile App. So, in the coming weeks, I will release an major update regarding many of the feature requests. The ones that I can think of right now would be the following:
It would be mostly about things that were not able to change. I would like to make it all customizable. I won't be releasing it all at once, so please be patient with the updates. I expect to push all the updates that I think it should be in the app before the end of February.
Feel free to open a discussion if you have anything to share or things that you think the app should have as a feature.
Thank you once again for still using the app, and I will be back with various feature updates soon.
