Some other VNC implementations, like TightVNC, UltraVNC and RealVNC (kinda) have remote file manager, which is pretty useful.
Will be nice to see such feature in TigerVNC too.

Karl Runge's mods to tightvncviewer 1.3.9 include hooks to a Java file transfer capability.

Maybe something could be pulled from there http://www.karlrunge.com/x11vnc/ssvnc.html#unix-patches
