Controllers bad tracking in vr #46
-
Hello, I started using the 2x ps eye and 2x ps move system. And there are a couple of problems: 1. In the application itself, both controllers separately see the cameras, but in vr at the same time both controllers do not work, one hangs in the air and does not respond, and the second is tracked in space. 2. The remaining controller is being tracked too high, I tried to recalibrate, but the vr controller is over my head. |

Why are you using SteamVR overrides, they are overwriting themselves, remove them. |

Thank you, even though your answer did not suit me. I will try to solve the problem. Buying another ps move is expensive for me, but using the phone is not convenient. When I have a helmet, it has its own 3 way degrees tracking and can be tracked using a colored ball. But it's vdm that doesn't want it to work. |

Yes, I thought about it and really doubt that it is difficult to implement the transfer of ball coordinates to stramvr. I will be waiting for the support of third-party 3dof devices. In the meantime, it looks like I'll use it with my Kinect and third-party software like driver4vr |

That isnt a bug, theres only one HMD allowed. However, virtual HMDs are not used anymore because they dont transmit orientation data. Use a virtual controller (like you would use a virtual HMD) and use SteamVR overrides (Use the virtual controller to override your HMD pose). The only problem you will have is the SteamVR overrides replace both position and orientation of the original device. So if you dont have orientation with PSMSX, you wont have orientation with your HMD either.
The only way to solve the orientation issue is either to use a PSmove controller or an IMU (SlimeVR, Phone etc.) see Wiki for mor…
