I would like to do that but unfortunately I have too many other priorities. There is a new version of the OpenEVSE wifi adapter that uses a more powerful arduino chip and that is where all the work on OpenEVSE's side is going, so our units are dead-ends, so I'm not very motivated to improve it. Somewhere on my list of ToDo's is upgrading my WiFi module to the newer platform and re-writing the package as a real adapter. |
Where is the information about this new adapter? Its been over a year and I haven not seen anything posted about it. Otherwise I would upgrade mine. |
@mattbruman you can purchase the updated WiFi adapter here: https://store.openevse.com/products/openevse-wifi-kit (USA/Canada). Or see here for more detail: https://github.com/OpenEVSE/ESP32_WiFi_V4.x#esp32-wifi-module |
Ahh looks like I already have that one. I bought it last year. I thought you meant there was even a newer one they were working on. I was using your integration for the past year and updated the firmware last month and it broke most of what you made. Looks like some of the RAPI commands are broke or something in HA didn't like from the September update. Either way got it working for now with another integration. |
Hi Tony
I have been using your openevse setup for a while, have you ever considered making it a proper HACS component?
it would be great to ave it available with the notifications for updates etc.
