This is a work in progress. For now see the Commands page as the only complete page.

#Alopex

Alopex is a dynamic tiling window manager with a container concept inspired by i3. In contrast to i3, containers do not hold statically assigned client windows; instead, each container is configured to hold a maximum number of clients. Clients fill the lowest numbered container with space available. Containers display tabs for each window stacked in it's space.

Containers are tiled according to common tiling modes (currently rstack, bstack, and monocle).

Alopex uses a tag concept rather than a workspace/desktop metaphor. However, the default config is tailored for users most familiar with the more common workspace switching. This is easily customized. See the Configuration page for further information.
