For public policy folks, you can take:
a) Kaggle tasks aimed at poverty reduction:

b) The 'Kaggle' for development and public policy, 'Driven Data'

Also, here's a neat example of mass collaboration for real-time economic data from the ground:
https://www.premise.com/

I'm aiming to specialize in using NLP on language data for development and education policy. Any similar recommendations (like those above) are more than welcome! Thanks.
