After digging around in the database it turns out that deleted users are only removed from the users tables and not the tables that link them to the shows (as I guessed was the issue)

TODO: Rewrite default remove user method and implement a version that removes these pesky ghosts.

(I've also manually fixed the database to make it look better in the meantime)
