Background
We know from prior design work that program managers need to identify which job codes will be used to fund their proposal requests. Job codes are created at the beginning of each fiscal year, and are also added throughout the year by ASC.
Our mock uses a combo box component so that program managers can type ahead and select from a list of job codes. This ticket is to learn more about how job codes are stored and maintained. Questions include:
Who creates job codes? RACA/ASC?
Where are job codes entered and stored? FMMI?
It appears there is some information baked into the job code, like fiscal year. Is there meaning in how job codes are structured?
What's the difference between a job code and a short code? How do they mirror each other and how are they different?
Do job codes (or short codes) have human readable names associated with them? For example: ABCD0021: Program name?
