This game crashes for me too. I believe it is related to Denuvo DRM.

I confirm that Injustice 2 works fine with https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/5.9-GE-1-NR . I have only tested offline mode BTW.

Same here, with 5.9-GE-1-NR give some distortions on cut scenes, but 5.11 GE 1 MF was nice but no sound

Game runs with significant performance issues, but by lowering the settings a stable 60fps can be achieved.
However, game desyncs a few seconds into a match on online mode, causing online to be unplayable.
Running on 6.19-GE-2

The game runs great with the PROTON TKG listed in this log, the audio is out of sync in the cutscenes though and I've tried various pulse latency options as well as the usual fixes that works with other games, but none seem to work with Injustice 2.

Deleting it renaming movie folder allows me to play on regular proton, but performance on nvidia hardware is so bad all I get is 20 and 40 fps, can y'all look into this, maybe that's why mk11 has bad fps also.

@ranplayer

This game and Mortal Kombat 11 are suffering from a big performance hit if textures are set above Medium (even with every other graphic option on low or disabled). FPS drops to less than 30 on my end. I don't know if this is happening with AMD GPUs as well.

It's just Nvidia, idk why Nvidia performance sucks in almost every unreal engine game.

Desync is cause in online by ucrtbase.dll. ucrtbase in wine needs to be improved.

Some games don't recognize Steam Deck OLED HDR capabilities

Issue transferred from ValveSoftware/SteamOS#1221.
@Hupro posted on 2023-11-22T16:56:18:

  • Steam client version:
  • SteamOS version: 3.5.5
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: yes
  • Opted into SteamOS beta?: yes
  • Have you checked for updates in Settings > System?: yes

Most games recognize the steam deck oled as having a HDR display and enable it in game. However some games such as Injustice 2 which supports HDR does not recognize the deck oled as supporting HDR and does not allow for it to be enabled in the game settings

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Launch Injustice 2 on steam deck OLED
  2. Go to game settings, display, and note how it says a HDR10 display is not connected under the HDR toggle

I've found only one issue with this title (testing with Proton 8.0-4/-5): when we decode loot boxes, the first displayed pieces have their prices displayed correctly. When we proceed to decode the next round, it keeps "verifying prices" forever.

Logs:
steam-627270.tar.gz

Specs:

  • OS: Arch
  • Kernel: 6.6.11
  • GPU: RX 6700 XT (mesa 23.3.3)
