Looking to establish a consistent date/time format for all fields, displays, etc. in RDB. Should also address the expectation of User time zones. ??
From Stuart Pearce, via e-mail 3/24/21:
So I notice the date display in Roundabout (e.g. calibration date in an instrument inventory instance) is in American format (mm-dd-yyyy) even though entry is in ISO standard date format (yyyy-mm-dd) if not one of the full ISO time formats.
I highly suggest changing the date display to ISO format (for search sorting purposes, scientific rigor, etc.), but that is not my decision alone to make that request so I was bringing it up to the group.
Additionally, the time formats are in 12 hour format and I also suggest that the time should be in 24 hour format instead.
