Example: Repetitive Code Generation

Suppose you want to create a series of functions that print messages for different events. Writing each function manually would be tedious and error-prone. Instead, you can use a macro to automate this:

Without Macros

fn event_start() {
    println!("Event started");
}

fn event_pause() {
    println!("Event paused");
}

fn event_end() {
    println!("Event ended");
}

This approach requires writing similar code multiple times, which is inefficient and can lead to mistakes if changes are needed.

With Macros

Using a macro, you can define this repetitive pattern once and reuse it for different events:

Advantages of Using Macros
