will there be an iOS app in the near future?

It's on our radar but the near future is unlikely because we have a few other items that are higher priority (e.g. preparing for the extension API change that Firefox 44 brings). The iOS code is still around so you might be able to build & run it yourself but we haven't tried yet.

Should I use the iOS code from Mitro or is it on the Passo Git repo?

Yea, please use the Mitro repository. We will create a new repo when we're ready to do the iOS builds.

An iOS app would be great of course. With a nice integration into the safari browser like 1password.
