Description

As discussed in this Reddit thread, I've also experienced the same issue where sometimes the Steam window will be "attached" to the cursor and moves along with it.
The only solution that worked for me is to restart the bottle and relaunch Steam.

Bottle Configuration:

  • Windows Version is Windows 11
  • Build Version 0
  • Retina Mode off
  • Using MSync
  • Advertise AVX Support disabled
  • DXVK disabled
  • Metal HUD disabled

I figured this would be as good a place as any to document this annoying bug in case others encounter it— even if a solution is unlikely.

Steps to reproduce

Happens intermittently, and unsure of how to reproduce consistently.

Expected behaviour

Using the Steam Bottle normally would mean that I can enter a state where I can drag and drop the window to resize or reposition it. Once I've released the left-click button, it shall no longer be in this state.

Logs

I didn't grab any logs when the error first occurred, but now that I know that I can use CMD+L to grab them, I'll upload them if I encounter the issue again.
