Steam Overlay doesnt work anymore

Description

It just wont show anymore.

Steps to reproduce

for most people, you just need to start a game that supports steam overlay

Expected behaviour

you should get steam overlay showing

I'm on macOS 10.15.2 Sequoia
Whisky 2.3.4

I've found that for most games, Steam Overlay doesn't work in the default D3DMetal. It does work, however, if you turn on DXVK.
