While this is a still an unofficial User's Guide for the Commander X16, it should not use any of the official trademarks nor intellectual property. I believe the only place this might exist is the logo and font on the cover page, but it would be good to check everywhere else as well.

Alternatively, we could instead gain permission to use these trademarks...or better yet, become the official User's Guide of the Commander X16 project.

I believe, with filling all of the remaining placeholder text, and some minor work, it can become the official Commander X16 User's Guide. It looks well made.

Thanks. I'm attending VCF Midwest next week, and hope I can speak with David about this in person.

Any news on the use of this document as the 'official' User's guide? I was thinking of adding some input into it (suggestions/comments, etc) and wondered if it is still moving forward?

I've had a couple of conversations with David, and for the moment he is more focused on a "getting started" guide. I modified this repo to generate two documents, but I think that he is going to go with his own.

David's main concern is with printing costs. He wants a manual of some kind to ship with development boards, but he doesn't want to increase the price by more than a few bucks. This means he wants a manual that is more around 10-15 pages...obviously a HUGE difference from what I'm trying to accomplish here.

However, that's not to say that this manual won't someday get an official sanction, or even be sold by David on his website. It just means that he is focused on the upcoming development board batch and its contents. Unless for some reason he needs it, however, I think the Getting Started guide generated by this repo is dead.
