1. Information We Collect

User Preferences

• Health Information: Nutri-Nudge prompts you to voluntarily provide dietary information, such as whether you have diabetes, any allergies, or your dietary preference (e.g., vegetarian, vegan).
• Product Data: When using Nutri-Nudge on the Blinkit website, we collect product details, including the product’s name, nutritional information, and ingredient list.

2. How We Use the Information

• Health Compliance Check: We use your dietary preferences and health information to analyze product data from the Blinkit website. This helps determine if the product aligns with your dietary needs.
• Data Enrichment: If the nutritional or ingredient information is incomplete on the Blinkit page, Nutri-Nudge sends the product name to the OpenFoodFacts API to retrieve additional details for a more comprehensive analysis.
• Report Generation: We send product details and user dietary preferences to Google Gemini API to generate a compliance report based on your dietary needs, which is then displayed within the extension.

3. Information Sharing

Nutri-Nudge shares data with the following third parties to provide and improve the service:

• Google Gemini API: We send product details and your dietary preferences to Google Gemini API for analysis to generate the health compliance report.
• OpenFoodFacts API: If product details are incomplete, Nutri-Nudge sends the product name to the OpenFoodFacts API to fetch additional information.

Nutri-Nudge does not share, sell, or otherwise disclose your data to any other third-party organizations, except as required for the purposes outlined above.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the data collected through Nutri-Nudge. However, please note that no internet-based service can be entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to our servers.

5. Data Retention

Nutri-Nudge does not store any of your health or dietary preference information beyond the session duration. Each time you use the extension, data is temporarily processed to provide you with relevant information but is not stored in any long-term databases.

6. Your Choices and Controls

• Managing Preferences: You have control over the dietary information you provide and can change or omit any information you do not wish to share.
• Deleting Data: Since we do not retain any personally identifiable information beyond the session duration, there is no further action required to delete data.
