Why doesn't last_used_at get cached?

When I use your package and cache the result of findToken(), the last_used_at of the token always shows a fresh value with this method

$request->user()->currentAccessToken()->last_used_at

However, when I cache it with a key, the last_used_at is successfully cached. But when I call:

$request->user()->currentAccessToken()->last_used_at

It returns a fresh timestamp that is synced in the database.
