アメリカで英語で仕事をしているので、PCで日本語を入力することが少なくなってきました。これまでずっとJustsystemのATOKを使ってきましたが、毎月\300の費用も馬鹿にならないので、解約することにしました。

<code>ATOK 解約</code> で検索したところヒットした <a href="https://pc-karuma.net/atok-passport-cancellation/">PC設定のカルマ - ATOK Passport を解約する方法</a> に従って、特に迷うこともなく退会することができました。

思い起こせば、EpsonのPC286VSを買った時からATOK4を使い始め、最近ではATOK passpordとして、計30年以上もお世話になってきました。Microsoftの日本語IMEと比べて圧倒的に賢かったので、ATOKをやめるなんて考えられませんでした。
</p>
<p>
ATOK Passportの月額料金\300(今は\330)も、Passportに乗り換えた当初はリーズナブルに感じましたが、今となってはむしろ高く感じるようになりました。世の中には無償で使える優秀な日本語入力ソフトウエアもありますし、ATOKの優位性も月\330の価値があるのかと言われると、厳しいように思います。
