Here are the tar ball results of the gcc5 and gcc8 eSDK revisions from the latest epiphany-sdk fixes for download. Made available in advance for everyone anxious to start testing while we figure out where everything should go for you to roll your own, see adapteva/epiphany-binutils-gdb#11.

This is based on the sources we already have from the work committed by @olajep earlier this year. No new merges from upstream and only minor tweaks where builds failed. Produced on Ubuntu 18.04 using package crossbuild-essential-armhf version 12.4ubuntu1 with dependent gcc-arm-linux-gnueabihf >= 7.2 and includes guile1.8 build dependency from source which no longer ships.

The gcc8 bundle was tested on parabuntu 2016.11.1 with all epiphany-examples passing and successfully builds OpenSHMEM, using the Makefile.esdk option. Do feel free to report any griefs however the gcc5 revision is provided as is, untested with consideration for unstaged gcc8 changes to find their commits.

The release version is still marked 2016.11 based on versioning tags which requires commit access on several dependent repos to bump and will be resolved forth with.

Correction: guile-1.8 is only used as build dependency and not included in the SDK.

Great news... no no no not that... still no response from @olajep or @aolofsson alas.

There is a silver lining: both the gcc v5.4.0 and v8.3.0 revisions pass the epiphany-examples test cases on parabuntu 2016.11. \o/
