Tab navigation , not keeping state

Hi , I wanted to please ask if anyone knows the reason why, on app start up , the tab navigation does not have selected state , and then once it is selected , when opening a bottom sheet , it gets lost again , or when navigating to a new screen sometimes ? The tab is on the correct content , just in the bottom bar , the state seems to be gone ?
