Disappeared from Mozzila extensions catalogue #24
Comments
@arthur-tacca thank you for reminding me about this. I received an automated email from Mozilla a while ago and it went under my radar (something about the Ractive source code being included and needed to be verified). I've added the missing information to the addon version on Firefox Addons and I'm waiting for someone to reply and re-enable the extension. I hope it will be available again this week 🤞 |

+1 for slumbergod's request please, it seems to be taking them forever to fix this and I really miss the extension. :( |
any news? |
Does anyone have the xpi for this or know how to install manually? |
I have found this in my firefox profile : (original extension was XPI, I've renamed it to ZIP to upload here) However I don't know how to install it into firefox without using the mozilla extensions website. |
I just removed the .zip from the filename to make it an xpi file and then re-added the { and } because the download removed them, not sure if they are important. To install it I placed it on my desktop and went into "about:addons" on Firefox and clicked the gear icon at the top of the page and selected "Install Add-on From File...". It didn't seem to work the first time but it did the second time I tried, works great and looks great, thanks! |
Thank you @Painless68! I was also able to find the same extension in a backup of my classic waterfox profile. I really have no idea why Mozilla seem to have blocked this extension. But then that's the new Mozilla--quick to criticise other browser makers yet seemingly unwilling to listen to (or care about) their old user base of power users in their mad dash to turn firefox into a chrome clone. Anyway, finding the xpi restores one more of firefox's most frustrating lost features. Thanks! |

@lazymonkey2 Wow, I was lucky to find this. Thanks a lot for uploading the extension file here! That one is truly helpful (and it is honestly a shame that Mozilla does not offer this functionality out of the box) @aesque Please get this one back to Mozilla Add-ons! |
This is a really great extension, thanks!
It seems to have disappeared from the official Mozilla extensions catalogue. I'm setting up a new computer and naturally I wanted to install this extension! I was surprised to find it wasn't there.
Given that it's no longer in the store, I'm also surprised it's still working on my old Firefox installation - but not complaining!
Would it be possible to add it back? Do you know why it was removed in the first place e.g. does it somehow violate the T&C of the extensions catalogue, or just an oversight?
