Nice!! Would there be any value in having a backup made before updating? Or the option to backup before updating? Two cent ... |

Hi @ajwfrost , would it be possible to implement the feature to download and overlay the FlexSDK as well (Similar to the ApacheFlex installer)? I think that would be a great feature especially for newbies. |

Hi @ajwfrost I'm publishing my android app on windows 10 with animate (23) and latest air sdk version 50.2.4.4 the version is ready to publish but when I change int adt.cfg to create aab file [ using CreateAndroidAppBundle=true ], I think it is related to the fact the I had recently installed air ask manager but I have already removed it weeks ago, but I think something changed... any idea ? |

i have set 'CreateAndroidAppBundle=true' in both adt.cfg files. |

Okay so I had forgotten a fairly key thing here... Animate is providing the build instruction that has a full output filename with the "apk" extension... So, actually you are getting an AAB file:
but the request was passed in:
So basically, you have ended up with an Android App Bundle, but it has an "apk" file extension. If you rename it, it should then be recognised by the appropriate tools... (we already have "adt -installApp" set up to inspect the file internally to see which it is, rather than relying on the file extension, so that instruction would work regardless of this.. but for uploading to Google Play console etc, it's best to rename it!) thanks |

HI Andrew, I know that animate always output 'apk' files, even if it is actually an 'aab' file. But, in my case this is truly an apk file and this I know for two reasons: one, the size of the file is about 40mb and should be around 65mb for my aab two, when I extract the file and go to base\lib folder I have only folder 'arm64-v8a' |

Hi all
We are hoping to start moving to a new way of deploying the AIR SDK, intending to make it easier for everyone to hear about new releases and to download and keep up to date whilst also keeping stability for existing projects.
A beta version of this SDK Manager tool can be downloaded from the below link (available until 25th November 2022):
https://transfer.harman.com/message/4RCZs94DpaZeqNzh5q0KPU
We would value any feedback/comments/ideas of how to improve this. The idea is that you can update SDK versions where there are bug fixes but then each feature-based update can be managed separately. It also allows you to sort out the configuration settings, hopefully meaning you no longer need to bother with adt.cfg files.
Please add any comments/thoughts to this discussion item.
thanks
Andrew
