A preference for torrent search would be good as well. |

This is a good idea but it might be a little difficult to implement. for v1.0 we'll revamp the whole searching experience, adding a spotlight feature (ctrl+k) that will allow navigation as well as search. But setting custom search engines should be an admin/advanced feature so not sure if it will get added anytime soon |

What I'm suggesting
When typing into the search bar on a homarr dashboard I am presented with 3 choices:
I would like to see a new user preference for the "Search Engine", which would allow me to change how the search bar works on the homarr dashboard. I'd like to ONLY see search autocomplete predictions and hide all the other options. I suppose a preference for 'public' dashboards would be nice too.
Motivation
People use homarr in different ways. I have used it to create a user friendly 'homepage' for my family. The other members of my family are not nerds like myself, they don't know what torrents are or care about any of that. They also don't want to search directly on YouTube, they don't see the point of doing that since the google search results has a tab to view "Videos" anyway. That doesn't save them any time.
Closing thoughts
This should probably be a feature that works for all search engines. For example if my family members want to use google, great. If I want to use a custom search engine like Kagi, then I should be able to configure the query url (already possible) and the query suggestions url (not possible today). To give you an idea of how that would look in practice, for Kagi I'd set these custom settings:
https://kagi.com/search?q=%s
https://kagi.com/api/autosuggest?q=%s
