I just got off with a call with George from Dorahacks to recap about how Akashathon went

The good

  • Payouts are done
  • 20+ builds submitted and 11 finalist selected
  • Decent Workshops offering for the participants

The not so good

  • Not a lot of promotion by Akash in their Social Media and related channels
  • Other big events going on (Akash accelerate) could’ve impacted the performance of the hackathon

Recommendations

  • Do Quadratic Funding rounds with the finalist to keep the momentum going
  • Get community more involved and push in social media

About Quadratic funding

Dorahacks would like Akash to have its first Quadratic funding round with the finalist

They recommend a 50k USD prize pool and other details we can ask Dorahacks

Do you think we should pursue a quadratic round for the finalist or keep this for the next Akashathon happening this year?
