Built-Up Areas of Nineteenth-Century Britain. An integrated methodology for Extracting High-resolution Urban Footprints from Historical Maps

Dependencies

Jupyter Notebook and Python >= 3.9

To install the packages from the requirements file, run in a code cell.

!pip install -r requirements.txt

⚠️ NOTE

yfaula_app is not mandatory to use the notebooks but if you want to run yfaula_app(for line removal), OpenCV must be installed first by following the commands in the file name install_opencv_commands.txt in the directory yfaula_app.
Please take into account the installation folder and modify the path accordingly in the Makefile. Then type make to install the software.

Models are available to download from the Zeonodo repository, below:
