Currently, the Cygwin terminal is not supported by IDEasy. The suggested way of using IDEasy is with the git-bash terminal. If you, for whatever reason, still intend to use IDEasy with Cygwin, you can find a few caveats and suggestions below. Be warned that setting Cygwin up for IDEasy could potentially be very time-consuming.

When you installed Cygwin, you might have set your home variable where IDEasy isn’t expecting it.

Do
echo $HOME
to check that it points to path '/cygdrive/c/Users/<your-user-name>' -
If not, change the home variable in your system settings accordingly or load the
.bashrc
file of IDEasy from within the.bashrc
