Use Case

User: When I click Max Projection in XY mode, nothing happens. Why not? Expectation was that user would see max projection along Z axis.
User also assumed that all max projections were always along Z, even when in 3D mode.

Solution

It would be great if we could do a true max projection in XY, YZ, XZ modes.
Possibly just changing the name of "max projection" might help imaging scientists who arrive with preconception about what that should do. I'm not sure what would be better. The point to convey is that our max projection in 3D does a max projection along the viewing direction.
