Initial settings not saved to URL for landing page volumes

You can see the bug in an unrelated video demo I did here:

The initial render settings are not being saved to the URL, only to the browser's local history. Copying the URL to a new tab results in the volume having the default settings, as does refreshing on a PR preview due to the reroute behavior.

Expected Behavior

The volumes loaded from the landing page should specify their initial settings in the URL.
