Solution

• update landing page content and any other place where the app is named
• get infra for subdomain names (both vole and vol-e?)
• rename npm packages
• rename repos and update links
• update allencell.org references to it
• announce on image.sc

status as of 12/10/24:

• the landing page has been updated with the new name Vol-E (not deployed to allencell.org yet)
• waiting for infra team to add vole.allencell.org and vol-e.allencell.org with correct policies for redirecting
• updating the npm package names is work in progress ( see Feature/rename package volume-viewer#262), to be completed after we resolve a fairly difficult bug related to switching images from the gallery in Cell Feature Explorer
• Lastly, We are going to change the github repo names as follows:
  allen-cell-animated/volume-viewer --> allen-cell-animated/vole-core
allen-cell-animated/website-3d-cell-viewer --> allen-cell-animated/vole-app
