currently working on a project where I need to perform entity linking on Wikipedia articles, particularly focusing on events that have occurred in 2023 and 2024. I have been using the ReFinED tool for this purpose, and it has been working perfectly fine for Wikipedia articles that cover events before 2023.
However, I have noticed that when I pass passages or articles related to events that occurred in 2023 or 2024, the tool seems unable to identify and link all the relevant entities correctly.
Is this a known issue with the ReFinED tool when processing more recent Wikipedia articles? Do you have any suggestions or workarounds that might help resolve this issue?
