• Scala compiler performance issues
  • Patmat phase 60 times slower with 2.13.6, 2.13.7 scala/bug#12499 -> Tried to fix in SI-12499 performance regression in patmat. scala/scala#10168, but gave up.
  • Very slow type checking phase, no real effort in improving it at the moment. Previous tentatives: https://github.com/gkossakowski/kentuckymule and https://github.com/twitter/rsc. Both projects have been abandoned: https://gkk.dev/posts/status-kentucky-mule-faster-scala-compiler and Goodbye, Rsc! twitter/rsc#406
• Intellij Scala is buggy
• circe has only two maintainers: Add pathString To ACursor circe/circe#1974. I also believe the project is evolving in a not optimal direction.
• ScalaMock is abandoned too: Scala 3 Support paulbutcher/ScalaMock#429
• scoverage-maven-plugin seems abandoned too
• Nobody really uses Scala 3. Kafka Scala 3 support is abandoned so far:
  • KAFKA-13399 towards scala3 apache/kafka#11432
  • Scala3 migration apache/kafka#11350
• Monix is abandoned: Is Monix still being maintained? monix/monix#1701
• scalafix-maven-plugin is abandoned: New release? evis/scalafix-maven-plugin#84

Actually, I support it. Though, sometimes I can react quite slowly. Not sure if I will invest into massive features and rewritings, because I don't use Maven at work anymore (nowadays I use Bazel).

BTW, I think, that ZIO ecosystem is quite amazing, and isn't abandoned at all =) Maybe it's time to move to ZIO.

Intellij Scala is buggy

Looks good to me, but your are welcome to try https://github.com/plokhotnyuk/jsoniter-scala instead. @plokhotnyuk is very active.

ScalaMock is abandoned too: paulbutcher/ScalaMock#429

Mocks are evil. Literally nobody is using them these days. Just write your own stubs.

scoverage-maven-plugin seems abandoned too

Try https://github.com/scoverage/sbt-scoverage. Works really good for me.

Nobody really uses Scala 3. Kafka Scala 3 support is abandoned so far:

Try Cats Effect instead. Same stuff.

Just stop using Maven. Use sbt. It is really good these days. Nothing similar to what it was in the olden days. Try it.
