Could the model run a nvidia-gpu with tensorflow in local machine instead of google-tpu device?

I don't have google-tpu devices, and I want to try it on local nvidia-gpu device.

I don't know if this model will run on a GPU as-is, but I don't see any reason why it won't, maybe with some small changes to the code.
Not sure about M1 though, this repo is using TensorFlow 1.15.2. Is there a TF1 version for M1?
